The Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) was created in 2001 with the participation of 10 countries. APICTA Awards is an internationally recognised award which offers a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs in the ICT sectors to benchmark their products against others in the region.

Recognised as leading contributor to innovation within the Singaporean telecommunications sector, Eastcom was granted the Innovation Development Scheme (IDS) Award in 2006.

In 1999, The National Computer Board (NCB) and Telecommunications Authority of Singapore (TAS) merged to form Infocomm Development Authority (IDA). Prior to the merger, Eastcom was awarded the Innovation Development Award from NCB for its strong technical innovations within the telecommunications sector in Singapore in 2006.
